Frequently asked questions

How long does the whole process take?

Typically 7–21 business days for the PCC itself, plus 1–3 days for notary/translation and 3–10 days for MFA + embassy or apostille. Total averages 14–30 business days end-to-end.

Can foreigners with past Thailand residence apply?

Yes. You'll need proof of past stay — old work permits, expired visas, or re-entry permits. We prepare the application and handle fingerprinting logistics.

Can a Thai PCC replace an FBI Check or ACRO?

No. A Thai PCC only covers your time in Thailand. If you've lived elsewhere, you must obtain that country's own clearance (FBI Check for the US, ACRO for the UK, etc.).

Do I need to fingerprint in person?

Yes — fingerprinting must be done in person at a police station or RTP service center. We book your slot, prep paperwork, and collect the certificate for you.

Which countries accept Apostille from Thailand?

Thailand joined the Hague Apostille Convention effective 14 December 2024. Apostille is accepted by 125+ member states — including the US, Japan, Korea, Australia, Germany, and all of the EU. Non-members still require embassy legalization.
