Can I use these notarised documents abroad directly?
Generally, no. As Thailand is not a party to the Hague Apostille Convention, documents notarised by us must typically undergo further legalisation at the Department of Consular Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Can you notarise a NAATI translation for Australia?
We can certify the 'signature' of a qualified translator on their translation document. This process, known as 'Certification of Translator's Signature,' is widely accepted, but it does not certify the accuracy of the translation itself.

In Thailand the certifying officer is a lawyer registered as a Notarial Services Attorney with the Lawyers Council. The signer must sign in front of that lawyer with original identity documents. The certificate is then authenticated at the Department of Consular Affairs and at the receiving country's embassy where required.
