**1. Outdated checklist** — consulates revise checklists roughly every six months. Clients who use an old checklist are frequently rejected at the counter. We re-verify the current VFS/TLScontact/consulate checklist at the start of every engagement.

**2. Wrong destination language** — the French Consulate in Bangkok will not accept English-language translations of personal-status documents; the German Consulate requires German for civil records. We surface this at intake and route to a translator in the target language.

**3. Broken legalisation chain** — clients who purchase translation only, then attempt MFA legalisation themselves, discover that MFA only authenticates the signature of a registered Notarial Services Attorney, not a freelance translator. Our one-stop package eliminates that failure mode.

**4. Sworn Translator vs Certified Translation** — Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal and Brazil formally require a state-appointed sworn translator. Do I have to send the original documents to your office?

For the translation stage we only need clear colour scans (PDF or high-resolution photos). MFA legalisation and embassy authentication of certain civil documents (marriage, divorce, birth certificates) do require the original — we flag those items explicitly in the checklist when we send the quote.

How long is a translated document valid?

The translation itself does not expire, but most consulates require the entire bundle (source + translation + MFA + embassy) to be no more than 3–6 months old at the interview date. We recommend starting translation no earlier than two months before your appointment.

Is English translation accepted everywhere?

No. English is accepted directly by the UK, US, Canada, Australia, NZ, Ireland and most Commonwealth countries. Most Schengen members (with the exception of the Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark and Sweden) and most East Asian countries (China, Japan, Korea) require the destination official language.

Can the translation be edited after delivery if I spot an error?

Yes. Genuine translation errors (typos, misspelled names, wrong dates against the source) are corrected free within 30 days. Changes originating from a new source document (e.g. a re-issued house registration) are treated as new work at 20% returning-client discount.

If the visa is refused, do I get a refund?

No — our fee covers translation and certification, not the discretionary visa outcome. However, if our document is rejected because of a translation or certification defect, we redo the work at no cost and reimburse MFA/embassy fees you paid on our behalf.

Can you handle a last-minute pre-flight rush?

Yes. Rush (24–48h in Bangkok) is available with a 30–50% surcharge, subject to third-party SLAs at MFA and the destination embassy that we cannot override.
