The five Red Flags Immigration looks for
**1. Address mismatch** — utility bills, lease, and house registration (Tabien Baan) do not all show the foreigner's name living with the Thai spouse.
**2. No shared photos over time** — only wedding-day pictures, none from the months/years afterwards. A genuine marriage produces a continuous photographic record.
**3. No shared language** — the foreigner speaks no Thai and the Thai spouse speaks no language the foreigner speaks. Officers ask basic questions in Thai and observe.
**4. Financially separate lives** — no joint account, no joint bills, no joint travel. Genuine couples typically commingle at least some finances.
**5. Serial sponsor** — the Thai spouse has previously sponsored multiple short-lived marriages to different foreigners. Immigration runs the National ID cross-check.
